Ryan Chao (he/him)
Newton North High School
Ryan Chao is a junior at Newton North High School. He is captain of the Wuan Martial Arts Lion Dance team, VP of his schools Asian American Culture Club, and a member of the GBCCA Diablo team. Ryan is excited to learn more about the research process and connect with new people.
His favorite boba drink is black Sesame milk tea with boba.
Joy Han (she/her)
Weston High School
Joy Han is a junior at Weston High School. She is a cellist and cross country/track runner who enjoys a bit of writing on the side. She's looking forward to hearing stories from fellow Asian Americans because everything is an inspiration to write more!
Her favorite boba drink is regular milk tea with tapioca pearls.
Tina Li (she/her)
Brookline High School
Tina Li is a junior at Brookline High School. She is part of the student government, Asian Pacific American Club, and Speech & Debate Team. Outside of school, Tina is an activist for racial justice, medical equity, and immigrant language access. She is excited to explore how the model minority myth and discrimination impact Asian American youth's mental health.
Her favorite boba drink is brown sugar milk tea with aloe jelly.
Felix Lou (he/him)
Lexington High School
Felix Lou is a junior at Lexington High School. He is part of his school's HOSA chapter, LexStopHunger, and Asian Student Union. He enjoys running and listening to music in his free time. He is excited to learn about Asian American issues and collaborate with researchers and other students to find solutions to those issues.

Amy Tan (she/her)
North Quincy High School
Amy Tan is a sophomore at North Quincy High School. She is a vibraphonist in the QNQ Marching Band. She plays, coaches, and referees soccer. Additionally, she is one of North Quincy High’s school community representatives. She hopes to learn more about Asian-American community interactions and their effects on political engagement.

Jenny Wong-Nadaraung (any)
Quincy High School
Jennifer Wong-Nadaraung is in 11th grade at Quincy High School. She participates in many extracurriculars including cheerleading, Asian Culture Club, Science National Honors Society, and Student Council. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in research and psychology, and is interested learning about how we can make an impact for future Asian Americans.

Yuxuan (Lucy) Zhang (she/her)
Boston Latin School
Lucy Zhang is a freshman at the Boston Latin School. She is an officer on her school’s Science Olympiad team and Model United Nations club, and an active member of the science fair and DECA competition. She is passionate about science and public speaking. Lucy is excited to assist the scientific community in understanding more about Asian American mental health and busting the model minority myth. She is eager to meet other youth advocates while learning about the needs of the community.

Angela Chen (she/her)
North Quincy High School
Angela Chen is currently a junior attending North Quincy High School. She is the president of her school’s Asian Culture Club and a board member of Pre-Medical Careers Club. She loves throwing the javelin and ballroom dancing. As a member of the BOBA Youth Advisory Board, she is excited to meet new people and learn about how mental health impacts Asian Americans differently than others.

Julie Hong (they/them)
Wellesley High School
Julie Hong is a sophomore at Wellesley High School. They are a member of Red Ink (art and writing magazine) and A Capella Anonymous. They love learning about how social media culture and psychology intersect.

Grace Liu (she/her)
Winchester High School
Grace Liu is a junior at Winchester high school. She is the editor-in-chief of her school newspaper, a member of her high school's swim team, and part of the Science Olympiad. She also teaches English classes to Chinese seniors. She is fascinated by psychology and medical research and is excited to learn more about issues concerning Asian Americans today.

Ava Qiu (she/her)
Newton North High School
Ava Qiu is a sophomore at Newton North High School. She is part of the Asian American Culture Club and does Chinese folk dance outside of school. She also loves to listen to music and read in her free time. She is excited to learn more about the Asian American community and meet everyone on the team.

Malia Thompson (they/them)
Newton North High School
Malia Thompson-Leong is a 9th grade student at Newton North High School. Outside of learning about psychology, they dabble in dance, bouldering, and circus skills. They love to read, and wants to be a psychiatrist who specializes in adolescence.

Sophia Yan (she/her)
Newton South High School
Sophia Yan is a freshman attending Newton South High School. She’s on the math and computer science teams and is hoping to join the badminton club next year. She loves to curl up with a good book at the end of a long day. Sophia is passionate about anything related to teenage psychology and stress, the development of good coping strategies, and the roles family and friends can play to lessen the pressure and expectations an individual puts on themselves.

Zhuoling (ZZ) Zhou (she/her)
John D. O'Bryant School
ZZ is a senior attending the John D. O'Bryant High School. She is an event coordinator in the Asian Culture Club and a member of the Recycling Club. She is excited to learn about the issues the Asian American community are facing today such as the impacts of COVID-19.

Nichole Chen (she/her)
North Quincy High School
Nichole Chen, a junior from North Quincy High School, is passionate about mental health awareness and connecting with her community. She is a member of the student council, on the Quincy Asian Resources Inc. youth board, and loves spending time with family and friends. She is eager to collaborate with the Youth Advisory Board to learn about mental health and meet others!

Lexington High School
Grace Li is a junior at Lexington High School. She is on her school's all-girls robotics team and computer science club, and does Chinese dance outside of school. She is passionate about mental health and is excited to learn more about how Asian American relationship dynamics impact mental health.

Helen Liu (she/her)
Newton South High School
Helen Liu is a Junior at Newton South High School. In school she is involved in the student government, the varsity debate team, track, UNICEF, the Social Topics on Air podcast, and leader of the Food Pantry Ambassadors club. She also volunteers as a language/math tutor and works closely with the Newton Food Pantry. She looks forward to learning about different Asian American experiences in the U.S. today through communication and research.

Brookline High School
Sophia Su is a sophomore at Brookline High School. She is a member of the student newspaper and the varsity rowing team. In her free time, she likes to bake banana bread and go on hikes with her family. Sophia is excited to learn more about Asian American representation in psychological and medical research.

Martin Wong (he/him)
Boston Latin School
Martin Wong is a rising 9th grader who attends the Boston Latin School. He is a member of the school table tennis club which he attends every week, and he loves playing basketball. He really looks forward to meeting other Asian American teens at this youth advisory board, and hopes to learn more about different mental health topics affecting Asian Americans.

Annabelle Zhang (she/her)
Wayland High School
Annabelle Zhang is a junior at Wayland High School. She plays badminton, illustrates children's books, and loves science. She is interested in how intersectionality and essentialism affect minority groups, and how to conduct research in psychology.
